Epic Company is made up of dedicated dancers who are passionate about growing as performers, teammates, and artists.
Our company program is known for strong technique, engaging choreography, and a supportive environment that encourages dancers to work hard and reach their full potential.
Company members train with Epic’s experienced faculty and choreographers while receiving opportunities to compete, attend conventions, and perform throughout the season.
Our Company competes at one to two conventions and three to four regional competitions each year. Every other year, the Company travels together to attend a national competition.
Our dancers have earned numerous regional and national titles, studio awards, choreography awards, and overall high-score honors at respected competitions across the country.
At Epic, we believe competitive dance is about more than awards. Each company dancer is encouraged to strengthen their technique, build confidence, develop performance quality, and learn the value of commitment, teamwork, and perseverance.
Our goal is to help dancers grow both inside and outside the studio while creating memories and friendships that will last well beyond the competition season.
Hair: Unless otherwise stated, all company dancers must wear their hair in a slicked-back bun with a middle part. Bun makers should not be used. Hairnets are required to help keep the bun secure and polished. A helpful bun tutorial is linked here.
Nail Polish: Nails should be natural, nude, or clear.
Lashes: False eyelashes are required for all dancers except Petite and Mini dancers. Brand and length are at the dancer’s discretion.
Makeup: Competition makeup should include pink cheeks, red lips, and foundation for older dancers. We recommend using a setting spray to help makeup last throughout the day. Eyeshadow should feature a lighter shade on the lids and a darker shade in the crease, along with eyeliner. A makeup tutorial is linked here for reference.
Lipstick: All dancers must wear red lipstick. Our preferred lipstick is Maybelline Super Stay in the shade Exhilirator.
Spray Tans: All company dancers, with the exception of Minis, are required to have a spray tan before each competition. Please plan appointments accordingly, as missing company practice during competition week is not permitted. Minis may use a tanning lotion or foam instead of receiving a spray tan.
Jewelry: All dancers are required to wear 15 mm competition earrings. Pierced and clip-on options are available in bulk packs on Amazon. We strongly recommend purchasing more than one pair, as dancers will use them throughout the season and extras are always helpful.
